When I first got into electronic music it was the eclectic jazz sounds of artists and bands like Amon Tobin, Jaga Jazzist, Xploding Plastic and the likes, who first pulled me in.
Ever since I’ve always wanted to do an EP in that sort of style, but never really got around to it.

Until now.

Most of the tracks was written during the bleak, dark, cold and windy wintermonths in Bodø, Norway - 78 km north of the polar circle, which definitely has had it’s colouring on the EP. That along with the film noir’esque feel.of several of the tracks helped inspire the title of this EP, Noir.

Là où Dada Twist rassemblait des morceaux inédits, Midnight Twist est une compilation, avec quelques petites variations qui se repèrent dans les détails, dans laquelle Julien Chastagnol croise Ruby My Dear et Doc Colibri ("Faya Bumbaka" et "So What" — comme quoi le colibri ne meurt jamais vraiment).
